Liver Transplant Program

Our Extraordinary Program…

Since its inception in 1985, The Nebraska Medical Center's Liver Transplant Program has earned international recognition, a worldwide referral base and Medicare designation. In 2004, the program reached a milestone shared by very few transplant centers in the country by having performed more than 2,000 liver transplants and more than 500 pediatric liver transplants, making it one of the most active and innovative centers in the world.

The Liver Transplant Program provides comprehensive care for adult and pediatric patients with liver disease. We have become widely recognized as one of the premier pediatric liver transplantation centers in the country and offer expertise in living-related, reduced size and auxiliary liver transplants.
